Monday, Monday, so good to me
Monday morning, it was all I hoped it would be
- The Mamas and The Papas
That's right, it's Monday. Typically over exaggerated as the worst day of the weekday life, usually with no good reason at all, but everyone kind of goes along with it anyways. But still - it's the beginning of the work week nonetheless.
Here are a few reasons to keep on keepin' on for on this terrible, beautiful, sunny, no good, very *bad* day:
DAEMON CHILI rocking out the after-party for Chris Robinson Brotherhood at Dudley's this Friday starting at 7:00pm. Get to know more about your amazing host, Mike Dion - how he got it all started, what he thinks about Lowell's music scene past and present, and what he has in store for his musical brain child on Wednesday's post! Keep an eye out.
Still in the Monday slumps? How about:
THE MALLETT BROTHERS BAND also this Friday at The Zorba Room starting at 8:00pm until 11:00pm. Don't miss this six-piece brotherhood led by actual brothers Luke and Will Mallet - recently named best band in New England and receiving best album in New England for "LAND" at the New England Music Awards this year. Learn more about these Maine natives on Thursday's post.
Work weekend nights? (Me too!) Here's one of the neatest things coming up this week:
Cool Designer Shoelaces at the American Textile History Museum - No, it's not a band! This Tuesday learn how to make your own super fly designer shoelaces for your kicks, just like the Lowell Mill Girls did! Located at 491 Dutton Street in Lowell from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The cost is only $20 and the recommended ages are 10-100!
