Dance in Lowell: Beginning and ending with the story of two dance events that made news across the country, this sixty minute walking tour looks at where the downtown dance action was when Lowell was young. Led by Ruth Evans, author of Twirling Jennies, A History of Social Dance (and other mischief) in the City of Spindles 1820–1920, the tour will be followed by a brief performance by Ms. Evans and her partner, Charles Worsley.
