Lowell Summer Music Series

Co-presented by Lowell National Historical Park and held each year from June through September, the Lowell Summer Music Series showcases premiere live musical acts from around the country at Boarding House Park, one of New England's most beautiful outdoor venues.

Lowell Folk Festival
The country's largest free folk festival takes place during the final full weekend of July. Six live music stages feature performers from across the globe specializing in a variety of traditional music genres, all right in the heart of downtown Lowell.

New England Music Awards

The New England Music Awards are presented every year to the musicians who call New England their home and whose dedication, spirit, and achievements over the last year have without a doubt established themselves as a contributing force to the most robust and diverse music scene in the country. The NEMA nominating committee consists of journalists from music publications, radio personalities, talent buyers, and record label execs collectively representing all six New England states.

The Gentlemen Songsters

A growing chapter of The Barbershop Harmony Society, the Gentlemen Songsters meet weekly spending much of our time learning and practicing good vocal and performance techniques. The chapter currently includes a performing chorus of 25 to 30 men who entertain a variety of audiences such as at folk festivals, nursing homes, hospitals, sports stadiums and civic events. The Songsters also perform an annual concert which they organize and sponsor.

Lowell Chamber Orchestra

We are the city of Lowell's first and only professional orchestra. We provide the area with an ensemble that presents music at a very high level, of all styles and time periods, to the general population. The ensemble sometimes include, among its professional members, some music students enrolled in local universities, in order to provide them with an opportunity to gain experience and earn some money.

Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra

Inspiring the greater Lowell community with quality musical performances for nearly 25 years, the Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra continues to provide audiences with lively, free Classical and Pops music each season. The LPO specializes in casual, lighthearted concerts, making audiences of all ages comfortable and engaged.
