Are you employed by one of Lowell's many cultural institutions or non-profits? If so, YOU are a major contributor to the city's creative economy -- it's time to Make Yourself Count! Lowell's first-ever Creative Economy Census consists of key questions whose answers will document the breadth of our city's creative industry and its impact on our local economy.

We encourage EVERYONE who contributes to Lowell's creative workforce to take the Creative Economy Census, including those in the following professions:

Visual, performing & literary arts   Web & graphic design  Cultural heritage and conservation

Theatrical technician  Architectural & landscape design  Arts education

Student in the arts    Filmmaking & screenwriting

Museum and library staff and personnel

The Creative Industry Database: A new city-wide initiative. The Creative Industry Database will house contact information for members of Lowell’s creative community. Our primary goal in establishing the database is to support the City’s arts community by providing a quick "one stop shop"  for consumers to connect to Lowell's creative industry. Additionally, we will use the contact information you provide to keep you informed of any artist/creative business loan programs managed or provided by COOL. Please note that your personal data will not be added into a list-serv or shared with any other distribution list. Click here to join Lowell's Creative Industry Database.

Volunteer With Us! Work with great people in the arts community, get to know your creative neighbors, and help ensure the success of the Creative Economy Census! Contact Suzzanne Cromwell at 978-674-1483 or e-mail scromwell@lowellma.gov to learn how you can get involved!
