The Ninth Annual Lowell Open Studios and Arts Festival

Saturday September 26th noon to 7pm and Sunday September 27th noon to 5pm

Don't miss your opportunity to see over 135 artists working in their studios in downtown Lowell! This year, check out our first Arts Festival, a series of performances and activities complementing the Open Studios experience. Acoustic performers will entertain audiences as they move between studios and enjoy the festival atmosphere, leading up to the Block Party in Market Mills Courtyard featuring funky rock by Dopapod and Gypsy jazz by Ameranouche 5-7 on Saturday. Also, come by the courtyard tent at 4pm to join us in celebrating Lowell's youth art displays at our open reception!

The ultimate goal is to keep people dancing, entertained, and intrigued!

6:00pm-7:00pm Ameranouche: The award winning Ameranouche trio is a rip-roaring force of hot acoustic jazz, sometimes referred to as hot swing or Gypsy jazz. The contrast of other influences like American Soul music, Flamenco and Bop are what give the fast fingered trio such a recognizable sound. All played on acoustic instruments, the music is rhythmic, vigorous and strangely elegant. (www.ameranouche.com)
