Museums of Lowell
"Passport to Adventure"
The Museums of Lowell have joined forces! With a brand new logo
designed by resident graphic artist, Joan Ross, and a website with
links to each of the individual museums at www.museumsoflowell.org
, the nine Museums of Lowell, including the American Textile History
Museum, The Revolving Museum, New England Quilt Museum, Boott Cotton
Mills Museum, Brush Art Gallery and Studios, Mogan Cultural Center,
Whistler House Museum of Art, the University Gallery at UMass Lowell
and the newly-opened National Streetcar Museum of Lowell, are taking
the cultural world by storm!
Eight of the nine museums are located within walking distance of each other, and this allows visitors the luxury of taking in several museums by strolling along our cobblestone streets...and the "Passport to Adventure" encourages visitors to do just that.
Pick up your "passport" at the Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau Visitor Center on Route 495, or at any of the nine Museums of Lowell, and begin an exciting cultural journey through the city of Lowell! Have your "passport" stamped at five or more of the museums and then send your completed "passport" to the Cultural Organization of Lowell (COOL). You'll soon receive a free Museums of Lowell t-shirt in the mail!
We hope that this promotion will encourage visitors to come back to Lowell time and time again to explore the many changing exhibits being offered at our fine museums. We also hope that people will wear the t-shirts with pride and tell their friends, family members and colleagues how to get their own Museums of Lowell t-shirts...all it takes is a "passport"!
